WORD OF LIFE MINISTRIES........

Our Ministries
These are not organizations or clubs but Works that enhance your Faith

1. Deacon & Deaconess Ministry
The Deacons Ministry is one of the several ministries of Fresh Fire. 1 Timothy 3:8, Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double-tongued, not given to wine, not greedy of filthy lucre. Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. And let these also first be proved then let them use the office of a deacon being found blameless. They are a ministry of prayer, concern, and action for the congregational care, they are members and ordained under this ministry, with assignments from the Pastor of this congregation.
(Deacon Robert Salley & Deaconess Felicia Salley)

2. Evangelism/Outreach Ministry
Seeks to share the good news of Jesus at every opportunity with the community and the world, they should work for peace, hope, and the in betterment of human kind. This can also be done through missions and non-profit organizations, inviting families and individuals to join our family of believers through creating a welcoming environment for visitors and sharing information about our church family. After they join the church, the ministry workers help to involve the person/family in the life of the congregation. Information is gathered and a reception welcoming new members is planned, this ministry works close with the church Clerk as it relates to the keeping of the church roll.

3. Fellowship Ministry
This ministry's mission is to offer opportunities and activities for church members and friends to enjoy time together in Christian fellowship. You plan events that enrich the lives of individuals, couples, families, small groups, and large groups.

4. Kitchen Hospitality Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to support the congregation as it offers Christian hospitality through food-related events. Kitchen Hospitality coordinates and oversees these events, any ministry or group using the kitchen must go through this ministry. This ministry also purchases kitchen-related equipment and supplies, and oversees the general upkeep of the kitchen. This ministry will also assist in the feeding of families in need and our annual basket give-a-way during Christmas and Easter.
(Sister Carolyn Baxter & Sister Joesetta Williams)

5. Long-Range Planning Ministry
They keep up with trends in ministry and look to the future need of the congregation in planning for our ministries needs.

6. Worship and Music Ministry
The first part of this ministry is the worship leader, you are responsible for the ushering in of the Spirit. This ministry involves vocal, you must be willing and dedicated to prayer, rehearsal, learning of new songs and the attendance of services. Fresh Fire will accompany Pastor to other fellowships, and you must be available to minister in song upon request. The second part of the ministry is instrumental and you are involved with all aspects of the physical plant of the sanctuary, including the sound system, and instruments. These ministries work with the pastor and director of music as to see that worship services, whether regular or special services, glorify God and lift up the people of God.
(Sister Melinda Wilson)

7. Praise Dance Ministry & Youth Ministry
This ministry has the same purpose as the worship and music ministry the only difference is that you show it through expressive and glorifying movement. Time, dedication, and commitment to learn is a must.

The youth are indeed the growth factor of any church, this ministry is available to any person ages 0-21. Events and activities are planned through this outreach that will keep our young involved in the working of the church, and give them a strong background in the word of God
(Lady Loretta Wilson)

8. Head Hunters Ministry
This ministry is to encourage and strengthen all men of this congregation, community, and the world; to stand up take their rightful place in the church, home, and communities by once again taking on the roll that God created them for. They will meet on a weekly basis to pray and explore the Word of God, challenging each other to grow beyond what they have been taught in the world, learning to be effective sons, brothers, husbands, and fathers to those that have lost hope in men. Walking in the world as lights and examples of God.
(Pastor Willie Wilson Sr.)

9. R.I.B. Women's Ministry
To allow other women to know that they have been formed, freed and forgiven by God through Jesus Christ, this ministry will meet on a monthly basis to empower women in the Word of God through prayer, fellowship, nurturing, support, justice, peace, love, and scriptures: To build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthen each other. All women of the church are invited to join and attend.
(Lady Loretta Wilson)

10. Ushers Ministry
The ushers are the first people you meet when you enter the church, they should be knowledgable of the sanctuary and polite. Willing to meet the congregational needs, ushers should be uniformed and easy to spot. Ushers may at times have to take on the roll of security so this is not just a job for females only. There should be an usher assigned to the pulpit to assist in the needs of the Pastor/Associates and Guest.
(Sister/Mother Ruth Kitchen)

11. Pastoral Care Ministry
This ministry is most important to any church; those that are involved are elected/called to step in this area must be intercessor first, prayer is the life line of any Pastor, committed second, and have a strong spiritual background third. The care team has to cover the Pastor in many areas and this can only be accomplished through knowing the Pastor. Communication is key, a willingness to go the extra mile, and much Agape love will make a Godly Pastoral Care Ministry.
(Sister Carolyn Baxter)

These Ministries are available now, the Scripture says Faith without Work is DEAD don't let your Faith die!
